Hi out there,

I have a 1990 420 SEL. My mechanic says I have an oil leak from my timing chain cover. It wasn't that bad at first but it is getting worse. He said not to use any kind of additive stop leak and that the repair is very expensive. Is he right about the stop leak and is there a way of sealing the leak without removing the cover completely?
