Kind of off-topic, but I was playing in my garage yesterday when I remembered this thread. I took two 18" pieces of pex, crimped the bottom ends with a 90* fitting, filled it with water, and crimped a 90* fitting on the top. I threw the whole thing in my deep freezer - I want to see if this stuff really expands up to 3x it's normal size.
