My 240 had the same symtoms and I did not heed it's warning and act promptly. It stranded me and would not start, I changed both filters, no start. I remembered a thread on here where someone suggested switching the supply fuel line and the fuel return line to check if the fuel filter in the tank was clogged. It started. I could also blow into the supply line and it was clogged , I could tell when it broke loose but not enough to crank. After switching the lines it cranked , time now to clean the tank filter.
