...recently had a chance to see a 2000 E55 in a mall parking lot- - upon closer inspection the body had waves all over and very dull paint

spoke to the owner and he informed that the car was purchased with a salvaged title for cheap, but he didn't care since it was a "hella" fast car, an 2000 model year, and that the 20" wheels totally turn the car out.

I congratulated him, but the paint and body refinishing foretold that the car was totaled and not refinished close to OEM standards...nonetheless- the owner was happy

So- the salvage CL500/project depends on your ownership standards and none else's...
