Yes that's right, but I guess it's the risk we all take when buying or maintaining a car that's over 10 years old, and a transmission rebuild or a/c overhaul is nearly worth the value of the vehicle.

I'm a big fan of W124 cars, and sometimes I wish I'd a kept my 1993 300E (3.2), and think they're the cost of keeping on the road.
