Anyone here ever remove the center console armrest (the lid that covers the onboard cellphone storage compartment)?...... For some strange reason, the leather covering on the armrest swelled up like a ballon and then shredded into about 6 large rips when it apparentlt burst........There appears to be a black cushioning under the leather that has been coated with some type of lubricant..........Anyway, it appears that pins are holding the hinges in place and I wanted to know if they were simply pressed into place or if there was a certain procedure or tool to remove them, as I do not wish to damage anything...........My GOAL is to have the armrest reupholstered, once removed.

Any replies will be greatly appreciated.....thanx in advance!
