No I'm actually trying to build essentially an extension cord since on this particulare car I will need to locate the computer box in the trunk. This is an M120 from a 1996 SL600 going int a 560SL. Im trying hard not to have to cut the engine harness. Otherwise I could use aircraft type connectors in the engine bay and reuse the engine connectors on the computers. Thats probably the best way, but I'm trying to work cautiously.
The problem with the junk yards are that they still think the computers are worth $300 to $650 even though they cant be put into another car due to DAS.
Mercedes sells the parts for the chassi side of the wire harness but not the engine side.
So far my cheapest solution is a breakout box wiring harness, which I did check on. I forgot the price but I remember it scared the S@#$% out of me.
