I can't find it either. I may be mistaken about that. In the quote that you cited, Pence refers to a previous statement he made about the Baghdad market resembling the one back home, but I am not sure that the previous statement made it into any media reports.

Either way, Pence is a fool. The quote you posted includes this:
Quote:
...I didn’t mean that Baghdad was as safe as the Bargersville Flea Market; I just meant that that was what it looked and felt like…lots of people, lots of booths and a friendly relaxed atmosphere...
A "friendly relaxed atmosphere"? With a 100 soldiers, 3 Blackhawks, and 2 Apache gunships? That is silly.

Is Pence McCain's campaign coodinator? I would think that 'McCain's' comments about the progress of the war would be what is causing his support to disapear.
I am not aware of Pence having any role in the McCain campaign. I'm saying that McCain's credibility was further damaged by his being associated with a fool like Pence.

McCain's comments are in the links you posted, and they are a distortion of the reality of the market.
So? Does that make Pence's comments any better?

Did someone say otherwise?
