my '86 300E w/ 148k on the clock started slipping in 4th? gear (auto). at cruising speed it seemed to be in neutral. it goes into reverse fine. i recently flushed the transmission fluid, it was coffee colored. any advice would be appreciated, i've never had transmission problems before! anyone know any gd transmission mechanics in the westchester county ny or fairfield county ct.?
