There is an adjustment procedure to make sure the roof is seated properly. Should be 1mm lower than roof line on front end, and 1mm higher than roofline on rear of roof. If he has access to MB repair DVD there are videos showing the adjustment. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much. However, I don't have the DVD
The good news is that my car is still under Starmark warranty and I have requested an appointment with a dealer for them to check. I will follow up with what they did to resolve this (and another issue I have).
