Yeah I run on the Merritt all the time, and there are a couple stretch's between Milford and Trumbull that you could get going pretty good if there are no cars around, but you would have to slow right down. It wasn't designed for such speeds, so anything over 80-90 requires a lot of concentration and a pretty good car.
150mph on the Merritt? NFW, a Porsche Carrera GT tried that awhile ago and got smashed up. The GT can spank any AMG MB, except maybe a CLK GTR.
If you had something really hot, and the road was closed, like a Carrera GT or an F40, or an F1 car, you might be able to average 100 through the coners, but you will be on the edge even for those cars.
My buddy saw an Indy car on the Merritt a few years ago. Got on in Greenwich, screamed past him and got right off, no plates or anything.
