My 99 ML430...100k miles...just died on the freeway. Dealer says CPS needs replacement. After a search, I think that the $550 to diagnose and repair the issue sounds high. How about new pads and rotors for the front for $600?

Have they pegged me as the guy who will pay anything?

I had the car towed to the dealer because it was my only real option, by the way.
