I phoned the Mercedes dealer and they think that car was broken into from the passenger side and that the owner replaced the passenger door handle and console from a junk yard.
The dealer said they replace the entire door assembly ($200) to match the keyhole, so I will probably pass on it. Not to mention the cost to replace the console.
