If the seller is honest then that's wonderful, regardless of the condition of the car. In this case I don't know which was more prevelant in the seller: ignorance or deceit. Probably a bit of both. Pictures certainly help, but they only tell half the story. I'd say the car in question is probably worth $500 max. Certainly not $2500.
