Pretty sure the paint was only a " Code ", during the assembly of the car.
Before you take it apart, measure the
exact distance from end to end, on the old tierod.
This will ensure, that your wheel is pointing the same as before.
To be absolutely sure, you may want to consider an alignment after.
Ordinary handtools should allow you to do the job.
Really don't need a hoist for this.
Jack & a jackstand should do it.
