Hello all, I am trying to change the gear selector bulb on my mom's '85 300sd. I haven't had any success on the search. I removed the ashtray, center console switches, and wood. The lead entering the selector does not appear to have a place to replace a bulb. Is this illuminated by a fiber optic strip? If so, where is the bulb located? Does this also illuminate the 3 center dash vents? Thanks.
