Still, I've been averaging 28 - 30 mpg this summer. Kinda abnormal, but I'm not driving "stop and go", either. Doesn't seem to make a difference whether I drive locally (semi-urban) or highway (sustained speeds of 75 mph).
I have verified the odometer with my old Garmin GPS72. Speedometer reading is optimistic at speed (by about 4%), but the odometer is accurate (monitored for 20 miles side by side).
This new SDL of mine has a stainless steel exhaust and a T3 Garrett running 18 psi of boost via a custom made controller (seems to lose top end power with any less). It never had a trap to begin with so everything is wide open.
I'm lovin' it.

Want to hear something even more astounding?
The SD did the following results.........two tanks in a row:
30.83 mpg 540 miles on 17.52 gallons
29.79 mpg 523 miles on 17.56 gallons
This is with the a/c running for more than 1/2 of each trip.
The engine has also cut it's oil consumption by 65%.............
...........strange as hell............
