Ok he's my list after finally being able to go over the car in detail last friday. I plan on taking it to work again tomrrow so I can hopefully start knocking these problems out.
coolant gauge dead
fuel gauge dead (light works)
interior hood pull broken
horns (both pairs) inop
LF interior door release handle broken
all outside window dew seals deteriorating
right heater control knob spins freely
mirror switch/motor? inop
dash badly cracked
LR door doesn't open from outside handle
central locking system inop
antenna mast broken
LR bumper trim loose, bracket rusted
tailgate outer trim strip bent
RR door trim strip bent
LF door trim strip bent
inner tailgate panel missing
tailgate wiper motor missing
LR lower body trim piece missing
overflow fuel tank cracked
upper oil cooler mounting bolt missing
radiator vent nipple broken off (repaired so I could go home!)
alternator belts, one inversed (needs all new belts)
1 air filter housing mount broken
power distribution block deteriorated
wiper blades
primer pump still old style
fuel filter old
pre filter old
pregnant snake fuel hose- incorrect hose on car
valve cover gasket leaks
hood pad missing
brake fluid nasty
master cylinder grommets split
SLS pump braided hose dripping (leaking section temporarily replaced)
fan shroud missing
rear sway bar links rattling
rear brake calipers on the wrong sides, need to be switched
rear brake hoses splitting
rear brake pads
upper control arms (boots ripped)
front sway bar bushings worn out
brake strut-rod bushings split
right ball joint dry, no boot (left is new)
engine mounts destroyed
trans mount destroyed
resonator pipe leaking
rear diff seals leaking
needs 4 new tires, 3 dry rotted- slow leaks
and there you have it, thats what's going to keep me busy over the next few months. I haven't decided if I will keep the ronals on the car- I like the look of them but I don't like giving up the control and stability of the 17" wheels I'm used to with my 300CD. We'll have to see how it holds up with new tires and new suspension bushings. Plus the whole repaint of the car and various little dings and stuff. Luckily there is very little rust and most of it is surface only witht the exception of the inner drivers footwell- theres a small hole to the outside above the brake pedal.
