I just recently removed the carpeting in my 76 240D (w115) because it smelled and was rotted. The PO said he had forgotten the windows were down slightly when he left the car parked for weeks and the rain had gotten into the car. The floor boards look good...no rust.
Heres the problem: I havent replace the carpeting yet...and we just had some severe rain the last 2 days...water starting filling up in the floor board area while I was driving. It wasnt leaking from the windows and since the floor boards dont look rusty...I dont know where else to check. I am hoping someone else has had a similar problem and fixed it. If this has been answered on the forum already...please direct me as I could not find it anywhere. Thanks.
