It's called MSHA. And BTW retreat mining is approved by MSHA even though it is listed as high risk.

But what will HAVE to happen is finger pointers must resign themselves to the FACT that the USA is MUCH more 'addicted' to coal than oil - doe.gov and gao.gov - you have to read some - I know, I know " .... but I like my preconceived notions more than true information..." Far greater than half of ALL the energy used in the US comes from coal. AND - ready for this? - driving a truck on ice, fishing off the Aleutian Islands and COAL MINING are all potentially deadly, there are no 'safe' ways to do any of them. A mine owner/manager's capability of public speaking does not make it anymore or less so.
