I would have to say that it's true. There is a difference between ME/NS lobster and those caught in NY, CT, RI and the waters off SE MA. Oysters, clams and real scallops, too. I don't know what it is, but they're just a bit sweeter.

OTOH, the best soft shell crab I've had was in MD.
