sorry, i didn't abandon this, somehow i'm not subscribed to the post like i thought.
"I'm surprised the cop made you move. Were you out of the travel lane(s)?"
Well, I wasn't, i was in the right lane, but the only traffic that was moving was him. Nobody else on the interstate was moving, and there was still a driving lane open. I understand its illegal or whatever, but seriously, where's the humanity anymore? It's exactly as Ken put it, it always seems the cop starts it anymore. Especially highway patrol, I understand the necessity of city cops, but highway patrol are supposed to be there to help, and it seems like they are just there for a power trip. Sorry, tangent.
"A lot of times it isn't economical to get full coverage on these old cars"
Yeah, I've actually checked it out, I can get liability for 25 dollars a month, and full coverage for about 125 a month. Beings how I have had my car a year, I saved 1200 dollars already on liability on a car I paid 1800 for. Its not even worth it to get the dents repaired, however I will try the dry ice thing. It won't hurt to try. I also heard about some cheap 20 dollar apparatus that you can buy to pull out the dents yourself. Considering the worst dents are on the hood, they are pretty accessible.
I have an appointment to get a new windshield installed for 170 + tax. I can live with that. I still cringe though at the dents every time i walk past my car.
