She gave up her teaching aspirations to be a stay-at-home mom, didn't complain when I brought home a rot-ridden Scout on a trailer, bought my TD or even when I bought our boat as a project which, as a trade-in, was left uncovered for 2-3 years, cabin sole full of water, sunfaded and complete free of good upholstery and then put up with me (and it) for 2-3 years as I rebuilt, repainted and reupholstered it.
