M112? It happened to me with my M113 (sister to the M112). It is supposedly not all that uncommon. Apparently, the engine ECU gets confused easily; and a hard press on the fly-by-wire unit will do this.

Unless this is happening frequently, I would ignore it. You can try changing the fly-by-wire unit ($$) or the engine ECU ($$$$$); but I, personally, wouldn't worry about it.
