I believe that Knecht was OE for the 99 C280. A quick check at ********az .com showed the filter for your car at $38. Bosch is listed as an 'alternative' choice. IMO, ******** does about the best job in explaining the differences between OE, OES, and Aftermarket and presents the OE/OES part as first displayed when you do a search. At any rate, I'd stick with Knecht, especially at that price.
