I love the manual sunroof, as the cable and gear cause fear in my heart. However, I would rather have automatic windows. If a rear regulator gets chewed, just replace it. And I have pretty much had to do that to all of mine. Cheap pot metal. But, after having
China for awhile, with manual windows; while they certainly break less, it is a monumental pain to have to roll up and down the windows, or even crack them on a hot day, compared to automatic windows. Much easier to just hit the button and crack them as opposed to leaning way over to roll 3 of them down.
Too bad Mercedes didn't just make them better.......
