Good Question! The Car had been stolen and the front was smashed up a bit. The insurance company probably figured the damage as more than 2,000 dollars which is more than 2/3 of the Kelly Blue book value. So...The previous owner bought it out of salvage, fixed up the front left fender and headlight assembly(easily 2 grand) and did a top notch repair job I must say. One look at the car and I could see that it has never been pulled out of a lake or set on fire. On a newer car, a salvage title can mean that it had 30,000 dollars damage but on something 20 years old, trust your own judgement and it always pays to get a CARFAX report. So everyone elses loss and my gain Prettiest and best running one I could find at ANY price.
