On the guide rods, do the 4 mounting bushings as well. I've read where some people spent a lot of time pressing them out at home. I looked at mine on the first car I did, and decided to bring the entire asembly to the local auto machine shop. Twenty bucks later, all done, and I didn't even sweat. I'd suggest the same for you.
