The lower seal on the windshield of the 500SE (same problem on my 420SE) has become extremely nasty. Perished rubber, rusted internal metal and general advanced rot.

Any idea:

• What this seal is called, or even a part number?
• What it's likely to cost?
• Whether a generic replacement is available, or will I have to spend huige bux to get a genuine MB one?

Any info most welcome.

A part name or number and/or likely price would help a lot. I'll probably buy the thing in Europe, but a likely US price will be a useful guide.
