Pic 1 - Driveshaft out and on the driveway. Note my FSM article printed out....
I did *not* need to pull the exhaust. The shaft came out easily after I took the pin off the e-brake and dropped the exhaust a bit by taking off the hangers and placing the muffler on a jackstand.
Pic 2 - Two driveshaft halves marked with the teal paint. Its really important to line these up so when you remove the halves of the driveshaft you can reassemble it exactly the way it came apart. You can mess up the balance otherwise.
Pic 3 - my center mount has seen better days.
As I said, Ill do a full treatment of this soon. This job needs a pictorial...its sounds/reads much scarier than it really is.
Next session is to pull the center bearing/mount and replace.
