battery load test

Microprocessor or carbon-pile rheostat? Schumacher makes a hand-held, DMM-size battery tester, the BT250, that tests battery capacity on a different principle than the familiar timed current drain. Does anyone have experience with this tester? What are the factors making the result (read-out) unreliable? (like state of charge, or is that factored in to the result?) Thanks.
