I'm currently rebuilding my Brabus 3.6 engine (provided I can source the partsm looking good at the moment). It's a bored and stroked m103 with a wilder cam and manual tappets. The car was a little noisy but my cam was worn (is being reprofiled and rockers re-faced).

The tappets themselves are the early m102 adjustable tappets. The car has done 140,000 miles. Is it necessary for me to replace these tappets? Will I gain anything from it? I don't want to replace them needlessly.
