If you are going to keep the car I would buy the parts from a non franchised parts company (who sometimes sell the real deal) and buy yourself another few years of trouble free A/C. The problem with used parts is the labour cost/ effort is the same for a short-term fix.

I would bite the bullet and solve the problem with parts with a reasonable warrenty
