I have 1996 C280. Just recently the instrument cluster gauges have begun to operate intermitently. Sometimes when I turn the key to position 2 they will kick up, other times they lie dead and the speedometer needle will quiver just off the peg. I have also lost the two lights behind the speedometer.
Can you diagnose the gauge problem and tell me if the lights can be replaced by me or is it a job for my mechanic.
