Mike, the built date is 02/1996. As per the wire harness, it seems that the 3 coaxial cables from the ECU to CPS, and the 2 coaxial cables from ECU to the 2 knock sensors are the only wires that are deteriorated within the entire engine harness.

This morning I ordered the harness, and I should be receiving it Monday morning. The job seems to be simple, but I'm sure I will have some difficulties replacing some of the conectors located by the starter such as the knock sensor located at the rear left of the engine behind the starter. I figure thet the removal and installation should take approximately 2 hours tops.

As I stated before I will take pictures and write a DIY. By any chance you know if Mercedesshop has instructions or has any requirements in order to post a DIY? Once again I do appreciate your replies.
