I had a similar problem. Car idled fine and reved up fine when in park, but would stutter and loose power while accelerating.

It turned out that the primer pump handle had unscrewed due to engine vibration and was leaking air into the fuel lines.

I only figured it out after I changed the primary fuel filter. When I went to pump the system, I realized that the pump top was loose.
