The golden hawk came out at the same time as the 57 chevy and many other finned american cars. I always liked them because my family still was driving studies.

My dad worked at studies in the late forties and early fifties. Also my uncle and grandfather. I have my grandfather's 15, 20 and 25 year studebaker pins.

The 57 hawk as noted earlier is basically a 53 studie with different hood and fins stuck on back.
