CMOS Clock meltdown.
Got a desktop at work that works fine in all respects except: that the clock looses an hour aprox. once per hour. Runs fine till then.
This machine is one of two that were washed! by a misguided collegue. Here is the strange part... both washed identical desktops produce the same result of the clock resetting approx. once per hour with the functioning (of the two) hard drives in the seperate chassis.
The hard drive in question has been swept for missing windows updates virus's, and spy/mal ware by a 2007 version of an up to date internet security program and found to be fine. No hardware conflicts in the system... and the CMOS battery is brand new.
Anyone ever seen anything like this?
