I went to the dealership in Ft. Washington, of course, they were of no use, only wanted to sell me a whole new mirror with the cover on it. So I went back home and managed to glue the cover crack together and had the pleasant surprise that the crack is on the bottom of the cover, not the top as I had initially thought. So, reassembled an put on the car, you can't see it unless you really look. Maybe I'll get on of those chrome cover things.
