Who said anything about a 126? I must have missed that...as for the tach connector, I've never compared it to another car so it very well may be smaller. But the wire does lead to a sensor near the harmonic balancer, not the transmission. That's not how the older systems work? I didn't realize there was a mechanical tach amp...I guess you wouldn't call it an amp anymore then...can you explain that system a little more?

If I need the larger round connector, I can get that from the donor car as well...I figured that since my car has virtually nothing, that fact that its an '85 doesn't really hinder me because I have to get all the components from another car anyway. I've got an appointment to visit the donor car this week...will keep everyone posted.
