All I can say to this cop is welcome to reality and get a feel for what is like for the common folk. This guy should do what most people do (well it works for me), plead not guilty and get to court early to have a chat with the trooper to plead down the ticket to a lesser charge before facing the judge. As long as you are polite, cooperative, and apologetic most law enforcement will work with you. It also helps if you have a relatively clean driving record.
