Jeez, you believe Media Matters? They were part of the original group who twisted things in the first place. That would be like asking Bill Clinton about Monica and expecting honesty.

The full (unedited) radio segment is on YouTube so you can hear what was said. It is OBVIOUS that Rush was talking about Jesse McBeth and as pointed out elsewhere here, he didn't mention his actual name until a minute or 2 into it. A caller actually brought up the fact the liberals use bogus stories to push their agenda, and Rush then called someone like that a phony soldier. Then a bit later they bring up Jesse.

Now just to cover the bases, even if he didn't mention Jesse, he also DID NOT say anywhere that any person who disagreed with the war was a "phony soldier". The point is if you don't believe what I heard to make my point, show me where in the transcript that he said something to support *your* point. DIDN'T HAPPEN.

And even if this is still unclear to the dunces in the room, why would nobody call Rush to verify what he said before they get in front of Congress and make an ass of themselves? They really dropped it by not knowing about the ABC story. Did you know about that? Do they deserve Congressional condemnation too?
