By the way both the J and SJ Duesenberg used Lycoming 8-cyl inline engines, as did most of their smaller brothers the Auburns of 1931 to 1936. Although now mostly known as an aircraft engine manufacturer for small planes, Lycoming was for a number of years a part of the Cord Corp. Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg, Lycoming, Stinson and several others were all part of Cord Corp; which was renamed, after the cars were no longer produced, to Aviation Corporation. Eventually again renamed to AVCO. And now you know the rest of the story!!!
