Yes, there is an adjustment bolt on the side of the IP, between it and the head. A long bolt head looking thing, I've just checked, it's solid round with a screw driver slot on top just behind fuel shut off linkage there is a lock nut on the bottom. I think the idle should be at 750 rpm.

aargus445, adjusting cold is fine, I'm not familiar with a "tiny tach", are you sure it's providing an accurate reading?
