TMAllison: It doesn't lock into 2nd gear but when you step on it it will only go up to 4000 RPM and it won't shift gears if the throttle is more than 3/4 depressed.

It will hold highway speeds but it slows down dramatically on hills. My mechanic has cleaned the EGR valve and Resonance Flaps. The MAP sensor has also been replaced.

I'll ask my mechanic about the second transducer.

e300D 97: It doesn't look like my battery is bad as on one occasion I had to turn the engine over for about 30 seconds before the engine started and the RPMs stayed constant during the time it was turning over.

I can tell if I've got full power or not by putting the car on cruise control. If I have full power the engine will drop 50 RPM and then pick back up again every 5 or 6 seconds. When I go up hills the surging stops or if I'm in the LHM there is no surging.
