The disc goes on top, the filter in the middle, and the spring in the bottom of the cannister.

I ordered two of the full flow filters , I found them on Ebay, I am glad I found this out, who knows how long the cars been running without it.
I am also gald I have the manuals,there is more to these Mercedes than meets the eye.
