I don't think there's any requirement for them to actually stock parts for vehicles for 10 years though. They could put them on perpetual backorder until they get enough demand to do a manufacturing run.. which'll be never.

So like.. why can't the guy get one off a junked car? Hard to believe in a country packed with cars and bad drivers, that there isn't at least one in a junkyard someplace they can get the part from.

There's many reasons I'll definately find another mercedes if anything ever happens to mine, but will never buy another Ford.. availability of spare parts is one of the smaller ones.
