So is this an emission related check valve?
Looking at the valve its sort of a loop.
I read it is a wax system
when the wax expands w temp it lifts allowing the passage to open between the 2 ports.
If this is so then the 2 broken port holes won't affect the engine
when its not connected to anything.
I started it
about same
but I could tell a difference in engine when it hit 50 C
something happened
idled more lumpy!
Thing is
my tvv
was hooked by T to back WUR & intake man on one port & other leads to a quad which connects to
distrib vac
air inject valve which leads into intake man
& another red line I can't trace
I have hooked this 2 sytem lines together bridging them w tubing
until I can get the tvv rrplaces
Just wondering it it would have been better to close each of these lines seperately.
I suppose what has happened is I have a open system now
open under 50C which would only affect cold operation
Not suchg a big deal
It starts & runs
If I had closed these 2 lines seperating them from each other
would it have been worse or better on operation?
Just trying to think this out
maybe even figure out why orig I had & still have hi idle at cold starts
& if it could be related to this tvv?
Guess it will never pass emissions wo it?
Thanks
