If it is opening at 50 celsius then it doesnt matter if the holes on the broken part are lest open. Also, the two hoses should be conencted together because by the time you get a block from the house the car will be well on its way to 50 C. Just let it idle and warm up a bit in the park space and it will run fine. Go on Monday and have them do the plugs and it will definitely run better after that. Replace the broken TVV and get the new wires on and it will make a world of diff. Old wires can cause all sorts of problems, including poor running and engine missing and bad idle. Just get them done.
