Almost broke my heart to read about the dog in his description, "This dog was turned in and asked to be put down when it's owner found it had killed one of their goats. Please this dog only has today and tomorrow or it will be euthanized." He was extremly friendly with the other dogs and just loved the attention from us. Hard to believe that goat story if it was actually true.

We have 4 dogs already, and figured, what's one more? If it saves him from being put down, it was worth it.
I've had milk goats and dogs. Some dogs cannot help but chase livestock. It's hard-wired just as some dogs will kill a rat on sight.

A large goat could defend itself but if the goat was young or the dog extremely determined to attack then there is no question but that the dog could do the deed.
